We need your opinion!

Members of the Boundary Park School Community,

The Surrey School District Board of Education (BOE) is providing us with an opportunity to participate in a regional forum involving trustees, School PAC Presidents, and a parent representative from our School Planning Council. The forum in our area will be held on Monday night.

They are looking for parent response to some key questions that will help the BOE with planning and budgeting.

The themes are:
- Viable Neighbourhood Schools
- Adequately Resourcing Today’s Classroom
- District Programs and Choices for Learners
- Community-Schools Partnerships
- District Efforts to Generate Revenue
- Balanced School Calendar
- Learning – What’s Worth Knowing

The Board of Education has prepared a discussion paper (over 10 pages long) that you can download and read by clicking here. The document contains the questions the BOE will be discussing at the meeting.

While we have only been given a short lead time to prepare for this meeting, the BOE has indicated that they want feedback from parents. Any of the PAC members would be happy to discuss the document with you, or you can forward your comments to your your PAC chair
or our school planning council representative (click on the title to email).

The BOE is also inviting written responses to the Balanced School Calendar to calendarfeedback@sd36.bc.ca . Click here to email them.

Please take this opportunity to make your opinion known!

Your PAC Executive.
